Balu@rte is an online and immersive art project, developed at the Soma Rumor Artistic Residence II, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, under the mentorship of the artist duo Manata Laudares. Baluarte is a portuguese word originating from french language, which means space insurance, fortification, basic principle, individual or group that defends an ideal. This artistic proposal is based on the principle of creating a space, online environment on the Sansar platform, where the idealization of a poetic project hybridized sound and visual - without natural and artificial opposition - take place within a digital art diegetic universe. In other words, a Balu@rte. In addition, it seeks to dialogue with the bases of remote experiences in times of COVID-19. A mix of immersive and virtual artistic reality, in which participants can explore the environment both in terms of space and its immersive sound possibilities.
