Guillermo Aemilius
2012 - 2020
In 2012, Participated in a performance made by deaf community. It was an impressive perfomance and an amazing experience for me being part and feel how “deaf people” interpeting the National Anthem in sign language.
Since that`s moment everything changed for me and I asked to myself as a designer. Is it possible made musical instruments for deaf people?
Are there musical instruments for deaf people?
Why deaf people don`t play music? What would be a musical instrument for deaf people?
These questions were the trigger for this project. The most significant changes were social and cultural. Due an unknown culture we revaluing their work and positioning them self from a new perspective, influencing and inciting society to debate, exchange experiences, knowledge, and perspectives from a new way of relate communicate. It`s a great challenge for our team and my self to be part on this project. We grew exponentially in a new unnknown area, expanding the borders.
